Economics Courses for ECE Professional Electives
Since you will not have completed all of the normal prerequisites for these upper division classes,
you will have to contact the undergraduate advisors to obtain clearance to register.
**Econ. 120A and 158A-B will not be allowed as professional electives.**
Possible programs of concentration with Economics 1A (Microeconomics) or Econ 1 as prerequisite:
1) Public and Environmental Economics: Econ 118A-B, 130, 131, 132, 133, 137
2) Labor and Human Resources: Econ 136, 137, 138A-B, 139
3) Microeconomics: Econ 100A-B, or 170A-B
4) Finance track (MBA):
· Econ 1A, 100A or 170A, and 175
· Econ 4, 173, + one upper-division Econ course (prerequisite must be satisfied)
5) Operations Research: Econ 172A and either 172B or 172C
Possible programs of concentration with Economics 1B ( Macroeconomics) or Econ 3 as prerequisite:
1) Monetary Economics: Econ 111 + one upper division Econ course (prerequisite must be satisfied)
2) Macroeconomics: Econ 110A-B
Note: Students who wish to propose another set of courses should discuss their choice with Professor Melissa Famulari in the Economics Department, and get approval on petition from their ECE faculty advisor.
