Additioanl Details: This course, a continuation of German for Reading Knowledge I, is aimed at students who need to read some German in connection with their research. You will learn basic grammar concepts, strategies to decipher sentences, and the tools to untangle those never ending compound nouns. Weekly sessions are devoted to check your translations, read longer passages together, and discuss particularly thorny problems. You are encouraged to bring some of your own texts to be translated to class. No knowledge of German is required.
